Membership season

The membership season runs from July 1 through June 30. All applications received after May 1st will be valid for the following membership season. The deadline for inclusion in the membership directory is the January 3-Ring Circus.

Why join WCG?

WCG membership benefits include monthly receptions and meetings (September/October through May), networking and refreshments at in-person meetings, a membership directory, announcements of local activities and job openings, activities for interns / fellows / emerging professionals, volunteer opportunities, free admission to special lectures, and reduced registration on WCG-sponsored workshops and events.

The annual Membership Directory is published in the winter and is shared with WCG members only. Current members can vote at the annual business meeting in May.

Membership Dues

Standard Member: $35.00

Emerging Professional: $25.00*

* Emerging professional membership is free for your first season as a new WCG member. Please select “Emerging Professional – New Member” as your membership type.

The American Institute of Conservation defines emerging conservation professionals (ECPs) as “those entering or thinking about entering the field of conservation [and includes] the transition from pre-program candidacy to graduate school and through to early career stages.”
