The National Park Service, Museum Resource Center located in Landover, Maryland sought WCG assistance with their framed vertical collections, primarily paintings.

Angels volunteers surveyed, photo documented, stabilized, surface cleaned and documented the collection.

The collections came from many of the area National Park Service sites in the National Capital Region such as the Frederick Douglas House, White House, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, to name a few.

Conservators with experience in paintings conservation teamed up with volunteers, students and others to assist during the project.  Lunch and drinks were provided for all volunteers.
