As part of our 50th year anniversary celebration, the Washington Conservation Guild has been given the exciting opportunity to visit Glenstone in Potomac, Maryland on Saturday October 22 at 2:00 for an exclusive guided tour with our fellow member, Steven O’Banion, Glenstone’s Director of Conservation. We are happy to offer this tour to our current members (so please join or renew your membership if you haven’t already).
The visit includes both a tour of the outdoor sculpture, and also the exhibition Fred Sandback: Light, Space, Facts inside the museum. Expect to spend about two hours there. Here are some important details:
- As parking is very limited, please try to carpool.
- Comfortable shoes and attire are encouraged. The walk outside covers approximately 1 mile of varied terrain.
- Bags are not allowed inside the galleries.
- Food and beverages are not permitted. You may tuck your bags in a closet inside the museum (it is not locked), or you may leave bags in your cars.
- Other visitor guidelines are here: www.glenstone.org/visitor-guidelines
The tour is limited to 35 people and RSVPs must be made by Wednesday October 19th. To reserve your space, please email rsvp@washingtonconservationguild.org
