On Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at 2:00 pm in the Library of Congress James Madison Memorial Building, Tom Clareson (Senior Consultant for Digital & Preservation Services at LYRASIS) will present the lecture Open Arms: Expanding the Cultural Emergency Preparedness Community. New projects in the cultural heritage and performing arts communities are prompting a variety of organizations to look at collaborative emergency preparedness in a wider perspective. This presentation presents details on a variety of new initiatives that are working to broaden cooperation in disaster planning and recovery.
The Library of Congress celebrates Preservation Week and presents this lecture as the IFLA PAC (International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions – Preservation and Conservation) center for the U.S.A. and Canada.
