The painting conservation department at the National Gallery of Art is looking for someone interested in volunteering 1 – perhaps 2 days a week. There is no treatment involved however filing, pulling x-radiographs, maintaining the conservation library, photoshopping images etc. is a valuable learning experience and working in an active conservation studio is a useful preprogram opportunity.
