WCG needs your help for one year to maintain our website, front end on WordPress and back end on Hostgator! We invite volunteers who would like to learn more about website administration. You don’t need to be an expert or experienced user, but you need to be curious, persistent and be able to look up tutorials when necessary (a skill all conservators already have!). Some training and assistance is available.

Duties include:

• Assigning new users a login and password
• Updating plug-ins as needed
• Documenting changes to the site that you make
• Troubleshooting problems
• Reporting on website traffic and issues monthly to the communications board chair
• Potentially liaising between the board and a paid consultant who will work on security issues.

Typical time spent is one hour a week, but can vary significantly if any problems arise. We are happy to have a non-conservator in this position, so if you have any family or friends who might be interested please pass this call for volunteers along to them!
