Virtual Zoom Webinar: Thursday, February 24, 2022
5:00pm – 6:00pm (EST)
Much of the language used in contracting is intimidating and confusing. Conservators don’t learn this aspect of their profession in graduate school and find the prospects of this type of work daunting. To attempt to remedy this situation, this informal presentation/workshop is intended to assist emerging conservation professionals in understanding the nuances of Federal Contracting. The presentation will aim to demystify the language used in Federal Contracting by detailing what is meant by the alphabet soup of terms such as: SOW, RFQ, COTR, FRP, SAM, DUNS etc. Information about initial steps to take before applying for federal contracts, including associated costs will also be covered.
