The American Society of Appraisers (ASA) and The Conservation Center have partnered to host a new webinar series on the mastery of conserving art, antiques and heirlooms.
The first of two webinars, Ethics in Art Conservation, will air September 22, 2022 from 1:00pm -2:00pm ET and will explore the role of ethics in conservation, common condition issues seen in the laboratory, the traits that make an item a strong candidate for preservation, and the technological advancements in the conservation field.
The final webinar, Art Claims: Disaster Response and Risk Management, will air September 29, 2022 from 1:00pm – 2:00pm ET and will discuss the effects of small and large-scale disaster events. Discover how The Center’s team responds to disaster events and the challenges of working in disaster zones, as well as the basic protocols for triaging and stabilizing an item or collection.
Both webinars will be presented by Heather Becker, a fine arts business entrepreneur and CEO of The Conservation Center.

Henley, Chair of ASA’s Personal Property Discipline Committee and specialist in books and manuscripts.
