QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

We seek an exceptional candidate in technical imaging and documentation. Individuals with terminal degrees in STEM, conservation, and the arts, and with demonstrated experience working collaboratively with conservation professionals, are encouraged to apply. Desired skills and competencies may include experience in advanced microscopy, conservation photography, multiband/3D/computational imaging, machine learning, reflectance transformation imaging (RTI), X-radiography, etc. We welcome creative individuals who are eager to work in a collaborative research and educational environment.

The faculty member’s primary roles will include (1) developing and leading collaborative imaging and documentation research with and for cultural heritage conservation; (2) teaching two masters-level (Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation, WUDPAC program), and one undergraduate-level course per academic year; and (3) advising and mentoring students at the undergraduate, masters, and doctoral levels; and (4) assisting with department, University, community, and professional engagement activities and initiatives.
