Contract Position: Cleaning of Special Collections Materials, Smithsonian Libraries and Archives

Smithsonian Libraries and Archives: Professional library cleaning services of special collections materials
Duty Station: Dibner Library of the History of Science and Technology

This project must be completed in a two-week period with costs not to exceed $45,000, including supplies. All contractors must comply with the COVID protocols of the Smithsonian Institution (see attachment).

Cleaning of Special Collections Materials, Smithsonian Libraries and Archives

Location:

The materials that require cleaning are housed in the storage vault of the Dibner Library of the History of Science and Technology, on the first floor of the National Museum of American History building (Room 1041, MRC 672, Constitution Avenue and 12th Street, NW; Washington, DC 20560-0601.) Access to the Library will be provided by SLA staff.

Work Hours:

Work hours are 10AM to 6PM, Monday through Friday (no weekends and no holidays). Work is allowed only when SLA staff is present in the library and a SI Security Officer is present in the vault with the cleaning crew.
