This internship will provide the opportunity to work with Glenstone’s superlative collection of post World War II artworks. Treatment projects will be tailored to the specialty and interests of the successful candidate. Example projects could include the treatment of a mixed media sculpture, the preservation of time-based media works, or research into the removal of marks from weathering steel sculptures. The intern will contribute to the Museum’s preventive conservation activities, outdoor sculpture cleaning, and exhibition installation. Glenstone’s conservation program is collaborative in nature. As such, there are often occasions to work with other conservators, museum professionals, galleries, artists, and their studios or foundations. Professional development opportunities are encouraged and will be supported.
