Our guide has been an integral part of the Cathedral’s story since 1985. He played a key role in constructing the West Towers, culminating in the placement of the final finial atop the Southwest Tower on September 29, 1990—an event shared with President George H.W. Bush, exactly 83 years after President Theodore Roosevelt laid the Foundation Stone.
Over the decades, his expertise has been essential in the restoration and preservation of the Cathedral, including stone replacement, conservation, stained glass restoration, roofing, and stone carving. Since the 2011 earthquake, he has overseen the extensive repair work necessary to restore and protect this beloved landmark.
This exclusive tour will take you behind the scenes to explore the craftsmanship, dedication, and intricate work involved in both the interior and exterior restoration of the Cathedral. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the Cathedral’s history and ongoing preservation through the eyes of a true master of the trade.
