Job: Matting and Framing Preparator at Archival Art Services

Pay/Hours/Benefits: This position would require 24- 40 hours per week, depending on the experience level and preference of the applicant.

Brief Description: Primary responsibilities will be to assist with matting, hinging, glazing and fitting of artworks, along with other related duties. This position will also include working with our team to perform framing on-site at local museums and institutions. The preferred applicant will have at least 2 years of direct or related professional experience, but we are willing to train the right individual who has a related work history. This is a unique opportunity to work at the highest level and learn our methods developed over the last 35 years.

Preferred Applicants will possess the following:
 Previous professional experience in commercial or museum level
picture framing or art related occupation
 Available to work 8:30 – 4:30,
 3-5 days per week (no weekends or evenings)
 Knowledge of art materials and methods, art history, museum studies
 Basic computer skills
