Art Care for Artists: Storing your Art

The George Washington University Museum and The Textile Museum is holding a three part ‘Art Care for Artists’ series in support of local contemporary fiber artists. The final session, ‘Storing your Art’, will cover textile storage methods geared toward artists working in fiber. Information will be provided on how The Textile Museum’s Collections are stored and a hands on demo will take place where participants can practice these storage methods with education collection pieces. Materials sourcing guidance will be provided as well as a small take away packet of archival materials. More information including how to register can be found here.
